A couple weeks back I brewed for the the first time using a partigyle approach. In this process two or more beers are created from one mash. This is typically accomplished by using different portions of the run off to brew the different beers. So… [...]
Buttery honeysuckle aroma and pine syrup flavor abound in this extremely enticing and oft overlooked gift to hop addicts. There aren’t too many IPA’s on the East Coast that vibe the pure spruce and sweet pollen characteristics of Russian River’s pheno… [...]
Significantly maltier and less hop forward than I like my IPA’s, this is nevertheless a rotund brew deserving of attention for what it does bring to the table. This being an IPA, hop character remains at the heart of this ale but it’s of the unrelentin… [...]

If you were around in the 1980′s you probably watched at least of few episodes of “Cheers”. An enjoyable sitcom set in a neighborhood bar in Boston, MA. Among the regulars were 2 ‘bar hounds’; Norm Peterson and Cliff Clavin, played by George Wendt and John Ratzenberger respectively. Norm was a quick quipping sot who always occupied [...] [...]

Appetizer: Stuffed Mushrooms …served with Kolsch
Stuffed mushrooms are my go-to appetizer. Not only are they delicious, but friends and family always request that they be brought along. A lagered ale, it takes almost two months from brewing to bottling, to create the subtle and ... [...] Read more →
