Pent utseende. Offisiell beskrivelse: Geuze, [...] [...]
Another review for the night. My Phils are finally looking like they should. I know that they can’t win every game, but I hate when they lose games early in the season. It’s also difficult when they have both Utley and Howard out. I have a new appreciation for baseball season because I now get [...] [...]

This post is another of the read THIS first, then come back variety. So are you gonna do it? Can you stay below the 4.5%? Is there anything at your local that is that low? Or are you going to have to find something bottled (probably from England) to celebrate with. I will do my [...] [...]
… Fortsett å lese → [...]
The DING question has to be faced, and now, the day before Session Beer Day, seems to be a good time to do so. DING (he uses the sobriquet whenever he talks about beer, so I’ll do the same) is a session hardliner: he firmly believes that 4.0% is the … [...]
This weekend, I hit up the Atlantic City Beer Festival. I had way too many brews to list and had a blast (see gratuitous picture below). I didn’t do many reviews while I was down there (honestly, the festival kinda shot my palate), but I did manage to have this brew at dinner. I have [...] [...]
So, for the past few weeks, I’ve been going back and editing old posts. It was part of my “Beer Resolutions” after the blog hit a year. For me, the blog is a bit of a time capsule. I tend to talk about some aspects of my personal life, so going back and reading them [...] [...]
Dogfish Head Tweason’AleIt’s gluten-free, made with honey and has strawberries in it! What else could you ask for? At 6% ABV and pouring light and fizzy, I could definitely call this a session ale. I can tell right away that it’s not going t… [...]
Inspired by a tweet I decided to try out Happy Hour at Hopworks Urban Brewery (H.U.B.) for a taste off between the single hop Ahtanum IPA and the single hop Chinook IPA. The Ahtanumus Prime IPA (Ahtanum hops) [O.G. 14.5, IBU 60, ABV 6.7%]. First, I lov… [...]
Brewed up this version of Northern English Brown Ale in Feb 16, 2012. Goal was to get something a little lighter in color with more toasty and caramel notes. Also wanted to have that solid Nut Brown breadiness in there. I think it worked out great, here it is: 12.5# Pale Malt (US) 1.0#Crystal 60L [...] [...]
Another beer tonight and the last one of the California six-pack. Well, technically I have one more California beer in the fridge, but I actually bought it when I went down South the last time. So that was part of the group of beers that I haven’t seen up here. Anyways, I went on and [...] [...]

An Awful Lot of Coffee Beer in Brazil
Brazilians love their beer, and aren’t averse to having one well before 5 o’clock rolls around. As in most other countries, a few national brands have dominated the market, but craft beer has established a presence as Brazilian beer drinkers have gotten more sophisticated. Microbrew products are turning up in bars and grocery stores, and [...] [...] Read more →

Disappointing Beer Selection at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
While Epcot features a wide selection of beer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is less than stellar. The restaurants that do sever alcohol offer the expected Bud Light, Budweiser, Coors Light, Samuel Adams, Heineken, Corona, Blue Moon, and Stella Artois. If you want a beer, stick with an East coast favorite on draft, Yuengling. Mama Melroses, an [...] [...] Read more →
